WHO "코로나19 피해 큰 일부 국가 항체양성률 5∼10%"<br /><br />Studies from countries hit hard by COVID-19 show... only around five to ten percent of people have antibodies to the virus.<br />This is according to the chief scientist at the World Health Organization on Friday.<br />Dr. Soumya Swaminathan noted that it's been as high as 20 percent in some countries.<br />But she further explained that about 50 to 60 percent of the population would need to be immune to the virus to create a protective herd immunity.<br />Other health experts have estimated the figure to be around 70 to 80 percent of the population.<br />The WHO chief scientist highlighted that herd immunity achieved through vaccination is the most effective.<br />
